SIM Cards¶
SIM cards in the DataPortal system are used for device communication over the GSM network. Thanks to them, devices can send data to the server and receive commands from it. Each SIM card is assigned to a specific device, but it can also be managed independently, which allows it to be quickly swapped or moved between devices.
SIM card registry¶
The SIM tab presents a list of SIM cards registered in the system along with their basic parameters used in telemetry device communication. The table lets the user quickly check which cards are active, what phone number they have, and which operators they use.
The table includes the following columns:
- IP address – the IP address assigned to a given SIM card on the operator's network.
- ICCID – the card's identification number.
- Phone no. – the MSISDN number assigned to the SIM card.
- Operator – the name of the mobile network operator providing the data transmission service.
- Active – information on whether the SIM card is currently active (marked with an icon).
Additional tools are available in the top panel:
- FILTER – lets you filter the list of SIM cards by selected criteria.
- Search – lets you quickly find a card by number or IP address.
- Add button – used to register a new SIM card in the system.
The table allows for convenient monitoring of the available SIM cards and their current status.

A new SIM card can be added to the system manually. To do this:

- Click the add-resource button and select the New SIM card command.
