SYMBOLS

The SYMBOLS group contains universal graphical objects used to visually mark states, events, information, and logical elements on screens. These symbols do not represent specific process devices, but instead serve an informational, warning, or navigational role.

The SYMBOLS group includes the following objects:

Alarm symbol Skull symbol Bell symbol Flag symbol Star symbol House symbol Information symbol Padlock symbol Lightning bolt symbol Radioactivity symbol STOP symbol Arrow symbol Chart symbol Exclamation mark symbol Wave symbol Signal strength symbol Sine symbol

These symbols can be used, among other things, for:

  • signaling alarms and warnings,
  • marking information points,
  • indicating direction or flow,
  • visually supplementing diagrams and screens.

Symbol properties

All symbols have basic, common properties, which can be edited in the PROPERTIES panel in the Toolbox:

  • Name
  • Position
  • Size
  • Angle of rotation

In addition, selected symbols offer extended visual properties:

  • Fill color
  • Border color
  • Border thickness
  • Border style
  • Opacity (transparency)

The range of available properties depends on the specific symbol.

Animations

ANIMATIONS can be assigned to each symbol placed on the screen, in the panel available from the Toolbox, letting them dynamically respond to changes in states, values, or events in the system (e.g. blinking, changing color, pulsing).

A detailed description of animations and the rules for configuring them can be found in a separate chapter of the manual.
